I ended up at Hotel Prince Galles after a booking mix-up, and despite the initial challenges, my stay was decent overall. The duplex room was spacious and clean but had some issues like uncomfortable bedding and unresponsive air conditioning. The breakfast arrangement was a bit inconvenient since it was at a different hotel, but the location was a huge plus, being close to Termini Station.

Rooms
6.0
My room was a spacious duplex with a unique layout, featuring a sitting area and a wooden deck with a king-size bed above. However, the mattress was too saggy for comfort, which made it a bit challenging to sleep well during my stay.
Service
6.0
The staff was friendly and helpful, especially during check-in. They did their best to accommodate my situation after the hotel mix-up, but the lack of potable water was concerning and not handled very well.
Location
8.0
I loved the location as it was just a short walk from Termini Station, making it super convenient for my travels around the city and to other destinations. The neighborhood felt nice, and it was quiet at night despite being in the city center.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was served at another hotel a few minutes away, which felt inconvenient. The food was decent on the days I had it, but I found better options at a nearby bar when I chose to skip hotel breakfast.
Facilities
5.0
While the facilities and cleanliness were generally good, the issues with the air conditioning and the lack of bottled water in the room affected my overall comfort.

5.4/10

I recently stayed at Prince Galles with my family over Eastern Week, and there were both enjoyable and some disappointing aspects. The spacious quadruple room had a unique split-level layout, which we loved, but it felt a bit dark and could use more lighting. The proximity to Termini Station was a plus, making travel around Rome easy, although the cleanliness could have been better at first. Overall, for the price paid, it offered decent value for money, but there are areas that need improvement. 🌟

Rooms
7.0
The unique split-level design of our quadruple room was spacious, perfect for my family. However, it lacked sufficient lighting and needed better cleaning upon arrival.
Service
5.0
While some staff members were helpful, I encountered a bit of dismissive attitude during check-in when we faced room allocation issues. This dampened my experience.
Location
8.0
The location was convenient, just a 10-minute walk from Termini Station, making it easy to explore the city. Despite being close to the bustle, the hotel was surprisingly quiet.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was average, though I found the orange juice quite unpleasant. It was decent enough to start the day, but nothing special.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were generally adequate, but improvements in air conditioning and general upkeep of room amenities would enhance the stay significantly.

7.4/10

My stay at Hotel Prince Galles was quite enjoyable, though it wasn't without its quirks. The rooms were spacious and had a unique two-floor duplex layout, which my family appreciated. However, the dark decor felt somewhat gloomy at times, and I found the breakfast options to be average. Overall, the location was fantastic for exploring Rome, especially being a short walk from Termini Station.

Rooms
7.0
The duplex layout was spacious, with a sitting area and a king bed upstairs, but I felt the lighting could be improved since the dark red walls made the room feel a bit gloomy.
Service
6.0
Staff were generally helpful and responsive, especially when I brought up cleanliness concerns. However, there were moments where they seemed a bit dismissive of some issues.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location near Termini Station was very convenient for getting around Rome, and I enjoyed being in a neighborhood with plenty of good restaurants nearby.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was a simple affair, but it was served at a different hotel a few minutes away, which I found a bit inconvenient. The orange juice was particularly disappointing.
Facilities
7.0
The cleanliness of the facilities was commendable, although there was a slight issue with dust upon arrival that was quickly rectified by the staff.

5.0/10

My stay at Prince Galles was a mix of highs and lows. The spacious duplex layout of the room was quite unique, but the air conditioning was faulty and the bathroom details were disappointing. While the staff, especially at the reception, were friendly, my initial experience upon arrival left much to be desired.

Rooms
5.0
The duplex design was spacious and quiet, perfect for relaxation after long sightseeing days. However, the decor felt outdated and the cleanliness could have been better. I found the bed head quite dirty with stains, which was unsettling.
Service
6.0
Although the reception staff were generally helpful, my arrival experience was frustrating. They had mistakenly allocated our suite to someone else, and it took a while to resolve this. A more empathetic response to my initial complaint would have improved things significantly.
Location

The hotel's location was a real asset, being just a short walk from Termini station. It’s convenient for day trips, and I enjoyed the quiet neighborhood with its local restaurants.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was a simple affair, located a few minutes away. I appreciated the selection but found it a bit repetitive each day, and the overall cleanliness could use some work.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities overall felt underwhelming considering the price. The air conditioning didn’t work properly and there was a lack of basic bathroom amenities like towel hooks. I expected more based on the hotel’s promises.

My stay at Hotel Prince Galles had its ups and downs. While the hotel's location near Termini was fantastic for exploring, I encountered issues with the room's condition, including dated decor and malfunctioning air conditioning. The staff's attitude could have been more accommodating too, especially during the initial confusion with my room allocation.

Rooms
5.0
My room was small with a split-level layout that seemed an interesting idea but felt dated and poorly maintained. The cleanliness left much to be desired, especially the bed head with noticeable stains.
Service
5.0
The service was less than ideal, especially upon arrival when my suite was mistakenly given away. The reception staff seemed dismissive about my concerns, which added to my frustration.
Location
8.0
The location was excellent—conveniently close to Termini station and in a relatively quiet neighborhood, making it easy to explore Rome without being in the middle of the noise.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast options were decent but could benefit from better cleanliness. I encountered some stale items that didn't leave a great impression.
Facilities
5.0
The overall facilities did not meet the expectations set by the price, particularly with the disappointing air conditioning and dated room condition.
